A revenue meter specified and supplied by Oppus.
Power Quality & Revenue Metering
Interconnection metering integrated into the plant's monitoring.
Revenue measurement and power-quality data at the point of common coupling.
The meter may be supplied by Oppus, bought by the EPC, or already installed. We specify, configure, integrate, document, and commission it in each case. The readings are tied into SCADA, the historian, and the plant's reports.

Interconnection measurement
The meter at the interconnection decides the invoice and the power-quality record
Energy exchanged with the grid is invoiced from the meter at the coupling point. The plant can use that reading for billing when the meter matches the accuracy class the project requires, the billing quantities are configured, and the meter has been commissioned against the point list.
The same meter records power quality on that circuit continuously. Those values are usable when they are in the plant historian and reports, with the rest of the plant's data.

Capabilities
What metering integration covers
The rows below are the measurement and integration work at the interconnection, for the manufacturer your project specifies. Figures labeled for Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) are SEL manufacturer specifications when SEL is the meter.
Billing measurement you can invoice on
High-precision revenue measurement at the point where every megawatt-hour of income is metered.
Accuracy class 0.1, specified by the manufacturer
SEL specifies these meters as exceeding accuracy class 0.1 per ANSI C12.20 and 0.1S per IEC 62053-22.
Accuracy held across the service life
SEL specifies accuracy and reliability as maintained across the meter's entire service life, not only at commissioning.
A first-level option for the coupling point
Specified for points of common coupling (PCC), exchanges, and load centers, where settlement-grade measurement is required.
Power-quality analysis in detail
The power quality meter at your interconnection reads what the grid injects into your plant, and what your plant injects back. The reading is continuous, not a spot audit.
Abnormality identification
Power-system abnormalities are flagged in the metering data before they become losses, damage, or a dispute with the utility.
Remote monitoring and integration
Metering data is available remotely and flows into your plant's SCADA, so billing and power quality live with the rest of the plant's data.
High-speed data for the system operator
Built for applications that require high-speed data processing, so the system operator gets the information it needs in the response times it expects, and your plant has the data flow that smarter grids demand.
Meter from Oppus, the EPC, or the plant
We integrate and commission a meter supplied by Oppus, bought by the EPC, or already installed at the coupling point. You can bring the meter.
Oppus specifies, configures, and commissions the interconnection meter
The specification, the configuration, the tie-in to plant monitoring, the record, and commissioning follow one sequence. The meter can be supplied by Oppus, bought by the EPC, or already installed.
Interconnection specification
We define the billing quantities, the power-quality quantities, and the points SCADA and the reports will use at the coupling point.
Meter configuration
We configure the registers, communication, and power-quality functions for that specification.
Plant-system integration
We tie the meter into the plant SCADA, historian, and reports.
Settings record
We document the configuration, the point list, and the communication settings for the plant.
Commissioning
We commission the meter on site and verify that the configured quantities and the data path match the specification.
You can supply the meter, or ask Oppus to supply it. A meter already at the coupling point is enough to start this sequence.
Meter sourcing
This work applies to a meter from any of these sources
A meter purchased by the EPC and handed to Oppus to configure, integrate, and commission.
A meter already at the coupling point. You can bring that meter.
Specification, configuration, integration into SCADA, documentation, and commissioning are the same in each case. Protection at this interconnection is a separate service.
